Makes 30 Cookies

1 1/2 sticks of butter
1 1/3 cups light brown sugar: loosely packed
1 egg
4 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 1/3 cups rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease 2 cookie sheets or use parchment paper

In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.

Beat in the egg, water and vanilla until well blended.

In a separate bowl mix together the oats, flour, salt and baking soda.

With a wooden spoon, stir the oat mixture into the creamed butter mixture until well combined.

Drop by spoonful on to the prepared cookie sheets, making sure to leave room for expansion.

Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown

Remove the cookies from the sheets and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
